Callum Wright

Callum studied at SAC Edinburgh and has worked on farms from the age of 16. In 2003 he travelled to New Zealand to work on a livestock farm, before taking up the role of herd manager on a dairy farm in East Lothian.

Later, Callum moved to a robot farm in Stirling, gaining invaluable insight and experience in transitioning from a herringbone parlour to a new greenfield site with robots. The role deepened his understanding of automation in dairy farming and its potential to transform herd management.

Following his distinction on the Promar Dairy Management Academy course, this really opened his eyes to his passion for the nutritional side, seeing how it could affect animal health and performance.

Joining Advanced Nutrition felt like a natural next step, allowing him to combine his hands-on farming experience with his enthusiasm for nutrition. Callum appreciates that by working with an independently operated company, he is genuinely building relationships with the farms to help contribute and improve animal health and productivity.
