Before working with Liz we were introducing the calves to a milking cow diet when they were weaned. Liz changed this to a straw and cake diet and we’ve seen great results. DLWG is good, we are gaining an additional 0.15kg and they are growing into a good frame rather than being pot-bellied.

Advanced Heifer is a rigorous management and nutritional program that helps our customers start their calves on the right path to become healthy, productive and fertile cows, driving their business forward. It all starts with our performance audit. This detailed study looks at:
- Calving management
- Calf health and performance
- Growth throughout rearing
- Age at 1st calving
- Milking heifer production
- Longevity - average lactation length
- Fertility of maiden heifers and 1st lactation heifers
We'll then advise you of any bottlenecks affecting your system and work together to an agreed set of KPIs. These targets will be unique to your farm to produce healthy and productive youngstock.
